Richard Martin:

Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1971 and joined Andrews Martin (or Andrews Hepworth & Co as it was then) in 1972 becoming a partner soon afterwards. He is a member of the Law Society, the Society of Trust and Estate Practioners (STEP), Solicitors for the Elderly and Lawyers for your Business. He is past President of the Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Law Society (2008/2009) and is Court of Protection panel solicitor for Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.

Richard has been practising as a Public Notary in the Swindon area for over 27 years having been appointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1981.

Richard now specialises in all aspects of small business and commercial law together with probate and Court of Protection cases and looks after the finances of a number of elderly and vulnerable people.

Patricia Martin:

Patricia qualified as a solicitor in 1981 and has always practised in the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire area. She is a member of Action for Elder Abuse and the Law Society’s Probate Section. Patricia has completed the Qualification in Notarial Practice at Cambridge University and will be joining Richard as a Public Notary practising in Swindon and the surrounding areas of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.

Patricia specialises in elderly and vulnerable client work, Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney and looks after the financial affairs of a number of elderly and incapacited clients..

Emma Ryan:

Emma is our cashier, dealing with our accounts. She joined us in September 2007. She has achieved Part 1 of the Institute of Legal Executives qualification (ILEX) and has several years of legal experience.

Emily recently qualified as a conveyancer. She has a wealth of legal experience having worked for us for a number of years.

Mary-Anne Punnett

Mary-Anne is our Associate Solicitor working closely with Mrs Martin specialising in Wills, Probate and Elderly Client work. She joined us in 2013 and qualified as a solicitor with us in April 2016.

Lisa Roe

Lisa is a senior legal secretary who assists Richard Martin in probate and Court of Protection matters. Lisa also acts as the Notarial Clerk to the Public Notary and deals with the notary enquiries. She joined us in March 2010.

Laura Arnold

Laura is a trainee conveyancer currently working under the supervision of Emily Goring and Richard Martin. She completed her law degree at Reading University and is presently undertaking her Chartered Institute of Legal Executives qualification (CILEX). She has been with us for just over two years, initially covering Emily’s maternity leave she has stayed with us and has gained experience in a wide range of conveyancing matters.

Jan is our receptionist. She joined us in March 2015. She has a wealth of experience working in law firms and ensures that our firm runs smoothly.

Kyra Fletcher

Kyra Joined us in October 2015 initially in the conveyancing department acting as the conveyancing secretary to Laura and Emily. She had now joined the elderly client team. She is currently a paralegal working under Patricia Martin. Kyra completed her law degree with the College of Law on their condensed two year course in 2015 and will be applying to start the Legal Practice Course this year.
